[Ep2] Mission Improbable

Postby insta » May 24th, 2009, 11:08 am

Here's some screenshots of a singleplayer project I've been working on since early February.

The mod is planned over 3 maps, each released individually. This was my first proper attempt at HL2 singleplayer scripting (apart from my Portal map) so I learned a lot of things while making this, which means that hopefully the next two maps won't take as long to create since I hopefully won't repeat my past mistakes.

This first map takes place in and around a remote coastal lighthouse where the rebels have a listening post set up to listen in on the Combine. The station has gone offline though, and Gordon is sent in to investigate and reactivate the listening post.

The map is pretty much ready for release, I'm just searching for a voiceactor right now to record some new lines to help the player along.
Hopefully my search won't take long so that I can release it soon.

By the way, if anybody is interested in testing it, I'd love to hear from you. I've had quite a few testers involved over the various stages of the map, but it would be really cool with some fresh eyes on it now that it's "complete". Let me know via pm or here in the thread.

The grill took him 2 months of full time work. It's the best grill ever!

The first and third screenshot looks awesome, except does the infamous grill got a shadow?

The second screenshot is just too yellow, maybe mix in some other colors?

Anyways, I'd love to test this for you and provide you with more in depth feedback.
